The Centre of Excellence for Alzheimer’s Disease Research and Care is a collaborative research group of scientists based at Edith Cowan University’s Joondalup Campus and the McCusker Foundation at Hollywood Hospital in Nedlands.

The State Government funded centre is supported by ECU, and partners including the University of Western Australia, Murdoch University, Hall and Prior, McCusker Learning and Development, Hollywood Private Hospital, the McCusker Foundation and Amana Living.

The Centre is unique in that it brings together leading researchers in different disciplines - from prominent clinical researchers to leading exercise physiologists and state-of-the-art brain imaging experts. The Centre has also established research collaboration with the Australian Neuromuscular Research Institute (ANRI) and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH).

The Centre’s Mission is to lower the burden of AD on the community and to enhance the quality of life of people affected by this devastating disease and our Vision is to see a world without Alzheimer’s disease.
